Eero Aarnio is the Finnish designer who created the ball chair.  Most of his creations used the theme of taking a simple shape and creating a unique piece of furniture.  He has not only created this style chair, but he is also created the bubble chair, which is the ceiling.  He is even created a table that he calls a screw table that looks exactly like a screw.  All of his creations use some type of plastic fiberglass to create their design.
